L ongest Night Society has been creating original music driven storytelling events for over 12 years. Famous for our annual Longest Night on the winter solstice (December 20th and 21st at the Yukon Arts Centre), the Society has branched out with an annual Youth Show, a short film released on Bravo!Television (The Lottery Ticket 2002), the release of a CD (Not too dark, 1999) and an original play Time Pieces (2006).

Longest Night Society is a collaborative of artists who create and present Northern stories. Through the mediums of film, dance, theatre, traditional storytelling and music Longest Night explores the idea of story.

Anchoring our shows is the Longest Night Ensemble, a group of some of the finest musicians in the North.
